Bone Ami Pet Boutique is a brick and mortar store located in historic Jonesborough, Tennessee. The town is located in the beautiful foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain!
Our family moved to the area in 2003 and while out searching for a home to buy, we stumbled onto Jonesborough. It was love at first sight! After moving into our new home, I got a job working in the historic downtown area. This is where I realized I wanted to become a part of the community by having a business of my own.
Hmmm, what kind of business should we open? Well, after going back and forth with my husband as to what kind, we decided on a pet boutique.
When we first moved here, we had adopted our first dog Sable from the local animal shelter. We are now up to seven pets, three dogs and four cats, six of them are from the shelter. Our most recent addition is Tarzan the kitten, who adopted us this spring while at an adoption function! I am sure you have now figured out where I am going with this! The love for our pets was and is our inspiration for the store!
Our hope is to now grow our business enough to help shelters and various pet organizations meet some of their needs and to help encourage pet adoptions!
