If you have read our "About Us" page, you already know we are all for adopting pets!  There are so many cats and dogs that need a good home.  We encourage you to adopt if you are thinking of getting a new pet.  This page has numerous links to shelters and rescue organizations.  If you can't adopt, all of these gladly take donations.

A Voice For Pets A Voice For Pets non-profit animal rescue, dedicated to giving a voice to those beloved animals who deserve love, compassion, understanding, and a friend. Blackjack Animal Rescue & Catahoula Connection What they do:      Rescue local dogs from Washington, Carter, Campbell, Sullivan and Unicoi counties in Tennessee.  Sponsor dogs from these same shelters by collecting donations, pulling them out to prevent being euthanized and transport them to other rescues.      What they need are people who might be willing to donate money to help sponsor a local dog going to a reputable rescue up north, instead of being euthanized in a kill shelter.      Currently there are 7 foster homes and a small farm in Jonesborough where they house rescues. They also use local boarding kennels to keep up the pace of rescuing more pets.  They can always use money donated to help with vet bills, food and transportation costs.  Go to this link for more info!     Adopt A Pet Looking for a pet?  This site is nationwide.  Good luck!
